FULL REVEAL: CARDS, RULES, AND ROADMAP

Everything Bandai showed off on July 29

Bandai's promised July 29 reveal has landed, and it's the biggest info drop yet for NARUTO CARD GAME. Here's what we now know.

The game is built around 5 card types: a Leader Card that anchors your deck's color, Character Cards that form your front line, EX Characters - stronger variants playable only once specific conditions are met - plus Chakra Cards and Summon Cards that power your plays. Chakra cards activate face-down support effects like Ninjutsu, while Summon cards are rested to bring Characters onto the field.

A standard deck runs 51 main cards plus 5 Chakra cards and 1 Summon card, all built around a single Leader's color. Matches are won by bringing the opponent's Leader Life down to 0, with Leaders starting around 15 Life based on the sample cards shown.

Face-down Chakra cards can be flipped mid-turn to pump a character's power or trigger other effects, and Ninjutsu-style interrupts let you respond to an opponent's attack before it lands.

Bandai also showed off the first wave of character art, pulling from all three eras of the anime - NARUTO, NARUTO: SHIPPUDEN, and BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS. Sample cards confirmed so far include Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, Tsunade, Ino Yamanaka, and Shikamaru Nara, alongside Gamabunta as an EX Character with a restricted summon condition tied to specific Leaders.

On the schedule side, Bandai laid out a packed run of events between now and launch: tutorial sessions kick off at Gen Con this week, followed by BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 across 11 cities starting in October, plus stops at New York Comic Con, PAX Aus, Spiel Essen, Paris Games Week, and Lucca Comics & Games. In-store tutorial sessions begin rolling out in January 2027, ahead of the confirmed worldwide release in summer 2027.
